Q: Why Is Garlic in Your Treats?

A: As with any concern about your dog's health, you should contact your veterinarian. There is a lot of research out there about garlic and dogs.  What we know is that our reciepe has been around for nearly 50 years and uses small amounts of garlic per 1,000 pounds to help the roasting process which your dog loves.

Here are a few things to consider about garlic and dogs.

It takes approximately 15 to 30 grams of garlic per kilogram of body weight to produce harmful changes in a dog’s blood. To put that into perspective, the average clove of supermarket garlic weighs between 3 and 7 grams. So for a 10-pound dog, that would mean they would have to eat around 50 cloves.

6 Benefits Of Garlic For Dogs

  • Prevents the formation of blood clots (anti-platelet)

  • Decreases cholesterol build-up (anti-cholesterolemic)

  • Widens blood vessels (vasodilator)

  • Helps prevent the formation of tumors (anti-tumor)

  • Stimulates the lymphatic system to remove wastes.

  • Antibiotic, antifungal and antiparasitic.

Q: I'm a charity, will you donate?

A: We wish we could donate to every great charity that helps dogs and other animals in need; however being a small family-owned business, we have to be selective. We choose where to donate once a year in January so that we can make the maximum impact we can all year. Please feel free to email us a request at welovedogs@bullyboy.com
